Psychoanalysis in the style of Freud & Lacan

What brings you to the work? Sometimes, seeking help from an expert is the best way to navigate uncharted waters.  Enlisting the help of a psychoanalyst is an important decision, one that places your articulations foremost.  I’m happy to guide you through some of the challenges as you venture beyond rocky shores.  If you are ready to make this commitment to yourself and find your unique path, reach out today.

A BIT ABOUT THERAPY

I implement a Lacanian psychoanalytic style to provide a place for people to speak.  In the speaking, relationships change.  Perhaps those changes result in greater self-understanding and new attitudes and feelings towards life's encounters.  What appears evident, is that given a sustained engagement in the work, inevitable shifts occur, subtly and over time.  It is essential to bear in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix: oftentimes people are looking for something more lasting, as with the work done in psychoanalysis.  The work is not about advice-giving, rather it is tuning into your unique articulations as a way to examine what is troubling, insisting, and outside of awareness.
